ENGLISH THEATRE 'SPOOKED'

On Tuesday, the 18th of November, Schooltours Vienna’s English Theatre performed their play ‚Spooked‘ for our third and fourth year students. ‚Spooked‘ is an adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s famous short story ‚The Canterville Ghost‘. Lord Canterville is forced to sell his home, the historic manor house Canterville Hall, to American business lady Mrs Otis. Her plan is to knock down the old house in order to build a modern housing estate. When her kids tell her about a ghost that is  haunting the place, she doesn’t believe them at first, but will soon discover the dark secrets of Canterville Hall.

Here is a review of the play written by Sebastian (4a):

My classmates and I got the chance to watch a theatre performed by the Vienna English theatre. It was a modern version of „The Canterville ghost“ and was shown in the Europasaal. I was impressed by the actors, because they played their roles so confidently. In my opinion, the theatre could have been much longer.
